Our private rooms are clean and spacious with private windows and doors that open on to our garden area. The dormitory sleeps up to 8 people with sturdy wooden framed bunks, plenty of electrical outlets, 3 different style fans for those hot nights and our internet works well inside as well as the garden and kitchen.
With a well stocked kitchen, a yoga area with puff seats and hammocks, an outdoor bed for lounging as well as the beautiful garden, Pacific Buddha has everything you need for getting together with fellow travelers and cooking a feast or relaxing and escaping from the sun with a good book in your hand.
Known as the "backpacker friendly" part of Puerto Escondido, we are situated in the heart of La Punta Zicatela, loaded with amazing restaurants both Mexican and foreign, excellent local produce and cheap cold beer. La Punta also has a beautiful beach with a more friendly point break for those who can't handle or need a warm up to Zicatela's world class beach break
With over 20 years of backpacking experience, we're trying to recreate the hosteling experience of the old days where people come together in a cozy environment and become part of a global family.
This place is beautiful, a real hostel experience. You feel like part of a big family. The layout is gorgeous. The yoga area, the flowers and plants, the animals, I loved everything about this place and will definitely be back.

Very beautiful and tranquil setting. Nearly on the beach. When the waves are big you can hear them crashing on the shore. La Punta surf break is walking distance. Great food options, a fresh fruit and vegetable market, and natural store with amazing food and bread options. Great vibe for solo travelers and couples. The hostel is very clean and well maintained. I extended my stay to more than 10 days after only planning on spending a week here.

10/10. Proper hostel vibe; everyone staying was absolutely sound and the place had a very cohesive, family atmosphere. Cracking little market up the road and some naughty fish tacos to be found within a few mins walk. You’d be a fool not to stay here.
